Take Back Day

We have been doing some shopping for the RV and ended up with a few things that just didn't work out...so today was "take back" day.  We made the rounds, Wal-Mart got back the two folding stools (too tall), the floor mat (too big), the wire organizer (what was I thinking?), and the corner shower caddy (piece of junk).  Bi-Mart got a pair of jeans back (wrong size - what were you thinking, Russ!).  Still to go back to Camping World is a coffee filter dispenser that seemed like a good idea at the time.  However, it's much too big and clunky and I put the coffee filters in  a small plastic bowl and they fit just fine.  Won't get squished and always handy.

The problem is we found a whole lot more stuff we felt we couldn't live without!  Really, we needed all of it, REALLY!  So back to putting stuff in the motor home and getting everything organized.

Now I have to confess something.  I have spent WAAAY too much time on the 'puter since we've been home.  I start out with the idea of just reading a blog or two but then I get involved in all the wonderful tales and making comments and following links, and the next thing I know, three hours have passed.  So I'm giving myself a time-out.  I am going to TRY not to blog or comment for the next few days and see if I can get this motor home loaded and organized.  So don't think I have fallen off the grid or that I don't love ya'll ((hugs)) but I have to discipline myself so we can get back out there.  Plus, starting on March 18, I will have my two out of town granddaughters for spring break.  They keep me plenty busy, especially when the other two local granddaughters join the fun.  Whew!  We'll be ready for a trip after all that.  So see you all in a few days and "I'll be back!"

I also want to say thank you and welcome to all my new followers.  I was going to keep up with welcoming each one as they joined but I didn't do a very good job with that!  So I'll just do the best that I can and say "welcome" and I am so glad to meet you.  I am by nature a rather shy individual so I am just loving meeting so many people in Blogland.  And a special thanks to those of you who read and follow my son John's blog.  He's going to need a lot of encouragement as he takes to the road.  Not easy to go and leave your family behind, but he is one determined fella and he will do what needs to be done.

Stay safe and see you all in a few days.  Hopefully I will have photos of Therapy, all outfitted and ready to roll!  Oh, and thank you for the opinions and experiences with the Pressure Pro system.  Appreciate all your input.

  2. I used to read books in the evening, I still do, but not as much. Now I read blogs so the time spent sitting in front of the fire is just about the same.

  4. Sometimes blogging tends to take over but I'm always drawn back into it. I still try to make time for tasks and of course, I can't give up my reading time. Here's what's suffering...housework. What a shame!

  5. Well BOO! Work is for donkeys and dogs (and husbands). I say make Russ do the dirty work, and you keep blogging and hanging out with your friends in the blog world :) hehe! Just kidding, Russ! You know I love you both equally :) :) :) :)

Have fun setting up house! You'll only have to do it once, so have fun...kinda like when you had a doll house to play with!

  6. Yep, coffee filters in a dish works for us too. Keeps their shape. Kelly is the 'take back' person in our family. Once I buy something I have the bad habit of keeping it even it doesn't work. Kelly seems to enjoy taking stuff back. Like you, I am a shy guy too. I do alright & feel comfortable behind the keyboard but have a hard time meeting people in person.

  9. I've had to give up reading a lot of blogs each day. If the little blurb right at the top doesn't grab me, I'll move on, taking turns sometimes just because I do want to stay in touch with y'all, Too many blogs, too few hours available.
