actually, this picture was taken on almost this same date in 2008. The weather is a little colder, wetter, grayer today, but we do have memories of nicer days! Since Donna is taking some time to work on getting things situated inside Therapy, I can jump in here and write while she's so busy out there.
It's difficult to decide what to take and where to put it. I know, because I was out in the garage the other day looking at my table saw, trying to determine if it would fit in one of the bays. Nope, guess not. I did buy a new tool bag, but now I can't decide which tools to put in it to take with us. Having all of these decisions to make is very taxing on my old noggin! I just want to be able to climb into Therapy and take off and have some fun!
We have a lot of good memories of lots of great places we've visited in the past....but the best of those trips was done in our Sienna and staying in motels. Of course we had a Class A motorhome sitting at home in the driveway, but it just wasn't any fun to drive it very far, since we never knew what was going to go wrong with it next....now things are different!
One major problem now is going to be where to go next!! We've been to Alaska a couple of times, but would love to get back there in Therapy. Arizona is great, and we've seen a lot there, but there is lots more to see!! We'd love to go to New Mexico! Washington has a lot of neat places we've never been yet. We enjoyed our Canadian trips. Wyoming and Montana would be fun! Idaho has some neat places. Nevada is interesting. Utah would be fun. Then, of course, there are still so many places we want to see in Oregon and California.
Do we go back to the places we have been to already, and really love? Do we visit all the National Parks that we want to see, but haven't yet? Decisions, decisions......it's just so hard to decide. I still think the best thing to do is, hit the road, and head somewhere we think would be fun, but be willing to stop anytime we want to and see things we haven't seen yet! The journey is the best part, not the destination. We have the opportunity to really understand that concept a lot better now. That's what we're looking forward to.
O.K. that's it for me today. Sorry there are no more pictures to post today. Go look at Al's photos Travel with the Bayfield Bunch, or Rick's photos Rick & Paulette's RV Travels, or some of the other great pictures that are out there in the travel blogs. We've had such fun looking at all the places that people are going to, and have been. Makes us want to get out there and meet more of you. Looking forward to that, just as soon as I can decide what to put in all the storage bays!!!
By the way....our son John has a new post up red's mid life crisis . If you have time to read and comment from time to time, I'm sure he would appreciate it. He's hitting the road, but without his family with him, and driving something bigger than a motor home! Thanks.
Thanks a lot, Russ and Donna, for sending the rain up north to us. ;) Glad you are experiencing spring-like weather. I know what you mean about trying to decide where to go. It's fun to have so many choices!

Our trip last summer to SD, WY, NE was great. There is so much to see and do -- some people have an itinerary where they are & where they are going...it's hard sometimes to determine where to go next, but you'll figure it out -- eventually:)
ReplyDeleteSo many places that offer wonderful sites to visit, things to do. A difficult decision ... having lived in Utah for eight years, I have a soft spot for the state. Not a long drive from Oregon and so many, many places to explore. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be a fantastic trip.
ReplyDeleteWe often experience that same indecision when it comes to our travels. The lure of old familiar spots with all their memories comfortably call to us all the time but the excitement of seeing & doing new things are equally exciting. I find it is nice to visit old spots but the exciting newness is not quite the same anymore. I really enjoy seeing things for the first time & creating new memories but am still drawn back to old memories just to touch base from time to time:))
