Day Trip to Oakridge Oct 2014

♪ ♫Heaven, ♫ I'm In Heaven♫ ♪....

This will be short and sweet because I am in heaven!  Arrived at Hat Creek Resort in Old Station, CA this evening about 5p.m.  This resort is in the Lassen National forest not far from Lassen National Park.  There is almost no one here...fishing season doesn't start until next Friday so until then it will probably be kinda quiet around here.  By the time we got set-up and went for a long walk in the forest and alongside the creek, I only had time to take one picture.  This is what we see from our front door.




There will be more tomorrow...but for tonight, I am just going to relax and enjoy this special place.

    Oh, we were up at Lassen a couple of summers ago. LOVED IT! Enjoy the quiet while you can!

    Lassen was still snowed in when we went by there last year. Sure would like to get back there. Looking forward to your pictures.

    Oh my, you guys definitely are in heaven! That is another of God's beautiful places (and He has so many, doesn't He?). We've been to Hat Creek, but didn't stay there. But now you've whetted our appetite, maybe we'll return this summer, after the graduation and before the 50th birthday party!

    Hat Creek sounds like a place I'll put on my list. You're there at a good time, though, and that makes a difference. That's the kind of campground I hope to spend a lot of time in.
