But they do have a lighthouse.
Driving through Old Town Bandon, we continued on towards the jetty and saw a different perspective on the lighthouse. As the fog rolled in, it was easy to see why a lighthouse would be a good idea.
The fog sat like a blanket over the water. Russ just sat like a bump on a driftwood log.
Russ was taking a picture of Table Rock.
The fish were biting so the fishermen didn’t seem to mind the fog.
Although it was foggy, the air was pleasant and we were not cold at all. It was a great day and we have lots of happy and interesting memories of Bandon. We did make one stop that we wish we could undo and saw things we wish we could un-see! That’s next.
The photos are so lovely with the fog. Makes it feel more like the ocean.
ReplyDeleteThat Coquille Lighthouse is very accessible. We like Bandon but don't get down there too often. I like your fog pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe must get back to Oregon one of these days...
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute lighthouse. Those fog pictures are beautiful. Glad it was warmer than it looks.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhen we visited that lighthouse, there were five labrador retrievers all sitting next to one another as quiet as could be. Our two were acting like goods, of course.
ReplyDeleteYou've got my curiosity going about what you want to "unsee".
Hmmm, leave us hanging. I love lighthouses.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to look at your next post...
ReplyDeleteLove light houses ,they have a nostalgic atmosphere around them.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots at the right time.
That has an odd eeriness about it. But yet, really neat looking. Love the lighthouse!
ReplyDeleteDonna, your pictures are amazing...I could almost feel the cool mist from the fog. Great shot of the fishermen!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say Russ looked more like a 'burl' on a driftwood log than a 'bump'.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the lighthouse and fisherman in the fog - perfect Oregon coast atmosphere.
"We did make one stop that we wish we could undo and saw things we wish we could un-see!" You are turning this blog into a suspense thriller.
Fog and a lighthouse, great photo.
