Fit to be towed

Friday we got our little Fit home, all decked out with her new "collar" and "leash" so we can drag her around behind the motor home.  Here's what happens when the toad gets a new look:
The hardware on the front is barely noticeable.  Seems to be easy enough to clip on the tow bar.

She also has lights now.

And a proportional braking system.
Russ assures me it is very easy to set up the brake and to take it out when we need to drive the toad.  There is a wireless remote brake monitor that rides in the motor home with us.

This part can stay on if we want to save some time hooking up.

She's all ready and raring to go.
So we're as ready as we can be - well, except for cleaning out the house.  That will wait until we see exactly what we are going to do with this lifestyle.  Full-time, part-time???  Only time will tell.

NOW ALL WE NEED IS THE MOTOR HOME!!

  1. Is your motorhome being custom made for you? And do you have a projected date of when it will be ready? I'm sure you are already planning the trips you are going to take. Glad you got the car all set for towing. We tow a Honda CRV.

  2. Carol, we ordered a new Lazy Daze from the factory last September. They are only sold factory direct. It takes about 4-5 months to complete so we expect to get the call within the next couple of weeks. The Lazy Daze is a smaller class C but just perfect for what we need. We are going to do shorter, shakedown, trips this spring - probably Oregon coast and about. After that - ANYWHERE!!

  3. Congratulations on your upcoming new motorhome and on the new braking system. Seems like you have the “hard stuff” taken care of now. Also, thank you for “following” my blog, you are a very welcome addition!

  4. At least your Fit is fit to be a toad now. Now, it's just a matter of getting the tower and that will happen soon enough.
