We have had some fun times with Jerry and Suzy. I already wrote about our joint visit to the Saturday Market in downtown Eugene. That was great fun. Then Jerry and Suzy came to our house for a BBQ. I had all kinds of picnic type food planned BUT – it poured BUCKETS of rain so we had to escape to the inside of the house. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pictures but we did have a fun visit.
Friday, Jerry and Suzy invited us to come visit them at Casey’s and we were happy to do so. We spent several days at Casey’s last fall and we love the place. If you are ever in the area, we HIGHLY recommend Casey's.
Although the weather was warm enough for these brave (unknown) souls to actually swim in the chilly waters of the Willamette River, we were perfectly happy sitting in the shade outside of Jerry and Suzy’s RV.
Suzy made a wonderful corned beef dinner and a spinach salad that was about the best I have ever had. Jerry and Suzy will be on their way again in a few days but we had a few great visits with them. The best part?? Virtual friends became real friends – how can you beat that?
You can't beat that! Sounds like you had some good times with Jerry and Suzy.
ReplyDeleteSounds like another fun time. Hopefully we can meet up with them sometime this summer.
ReplyDeleteMeeting fellow bloggers is certainly one of the perks of writing a blog. What was in the spinach salad?
ReplyDeleteMeeting fellow bloggers and RVers is neat.
ReplyDeleteHow right you are - just can't beat that!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be great to meet fellow bloggers; especially those who have become "virtual friends". Blogs have gotten me through some rough times, and continue to get me through. Because I can't travel myself, now, I can travel through bloggers' words, and I appreciate that they share their adventures with me.
ReplyDeleteI bet Jerry and Suzy have nothing but wonderful things to say about you and Russ, Donna. You're just such down to earth nice people. Maybe one day we will meet in person. I so look forward to it. I hope it's in time for Jack and Poppy to touch noses. Two kind souls.
sure can't beat that! glad you enjoyed your visit!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love meeting our RV friends. Glad you four had so much time to share the good life.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun and what a great looking RV park and site.
ReplyDeleteJust now catching up, Donna, and see that Jerry and Suzy are just a few miles from us. Glad you got to visit. You are the best Oregon welcome couple I know!!
