Watching the Backyard Nature Channel

Those who know us will attest to the fact that we are not big TV watchers.  Oh we do indulge now and then and we have a few favorite programs, but by and large, we really aren’t TV watchers.  Russ has convinced me there is nothing wrong with just sitting in the backyard, without worrying about the work that needs to be done in the yard.  We’re not wasting anymore time than someone who sits down to watch a TV show, according to my Dear Husband.  And so we have spent some hours this year just watching the Nature Channel in our own backyard.  It’s great and there're no commercials!!  This is what we watched today.  All the butterfly and dove shots were taken by Russ.

  7. Russ is absolutely right ... I tell myself the same thing when I sit outside instead of doing chores awaiting me inside the Phaeton ;-) Besides, BNTV can be interactive when you get a hankering to wander around in search of critter photos ;-))

  13. Wow, no wonder u guys don't watch a lot of tv-that backyard scenery is much better!!! I was wondering if he'd taken those butterfly pics. All the pics are great! Glad y'all have such beauty to enjoy. I sit on our back porch a lot and watch the squirrels and birds-unfortunately my little camera won't do the job y'all's does but I do enjoy watching them. I'm also glad u have mastered the art of enjoyment without the worry of work to be done...there is a time for everything and a "just to enjoy" time is always a necessity!
