Oh Yeah…

I got this in an email from my brother today.  It went along with the theme of my post last night that I just had to re-post.  Thank you David.

I was visiting my son last night when I asked if I could borrow a newspaper.
“This is the 21st century,” he said. “I don't waste money on newspapers. Here, you can borrow my iPad.”
I can tell you, that damn fly never knew what hit it....

Lest any of you think I am serious –THIS IS ONLY A JOKE!  I love technology and have my own share of gadgets…but I don’t have an iPad yet, nor a different appliance for every food I want to cook.  It’s all relative!!

  1. Well now, I would have to say that technology gadgets like the iPad are MUCH more valuable than items like holey jeans! ;)

  2. No iPad here either. Not enough time to play with all those techie things. I need to stop and smell the roses.

  3. I loved this one. No iPad for me either. But have you seen the car commercial (no idea which car) where son has picked up Mom and Dad and they are trying to give him money for gas? Mom finally offers him $2 and Dad tells him to take it. It is hysterical. Sounds just like me.

  4. I almost had an IPad but the BB missed by about an eighth of an inch so I was lucky.I think my son is still running. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

  5. I just looked at the iPad ... again ... but I don't want to give up the flexibility the laptop gives me to sit outside when we're camping to process photos and write my blog. So, no iPad in my immediate future. I'll probably get a reader-only like the Kindle, but first I want to see how the Kindle app works on the laptop ... that might be my solution.

  6. I'd love to have an iPad but my iPhone will do just fine for now - it's really a smaller iPad for me! With iPads maybe getting smaller and iPhones maybe getting bigger will there actually be a difference in a few years?

  7. No iPad, no Kindle, hate to use Facebook (but how else to communicate with younger family members these days?). But we did buy the world's best blender for $$$!

  8. Who can keep up now days?! I just learned from some fellow grandmothers that mismatched socks are in fashion with the grandkids. You can actually buy them that way at the stores now. I think I'll just give up trying to keep pace.

  9. Since I closed my computer business in 2001 I have continued to distance myself from technology or maybe technology has distanced itself from me. I am now within an eyelash of clocks that always flash 12:00.
