Okay, you all know by now that I am a little over the top in my admiration for the little Townsend’s Warbler that is a regular visitor to my suet feeders. Today I got a little video of him and set it to music. Watch at about 17 seconds as he gets a mouthful of something disagreeable. I added a slowed down repeat of his reaction. Hope you enjoy this little guy!
And of course, have to have a few gratuitous still shots.
I'm sure he loves you, too. You're always quick to put things out for him. He seems to enjoy the stick in the bottom of the suet feeder by the birdbath. It's easier for him to sit there and gobble food.
I didn't even see the p'tooey until I replayed the video. Amazing what the eye misses unless you know what you're looking for. He was pretty sure he didn't want that mouthful of food. Glad it made you laugh!
The photos and video were all taken from inside my living room. I always keep my camera handy as I know the birds will show up at various times during the day. I was lucky he was so hungry - he stuck around for a long time and didn't mind the camera.

ReplyDeleteI'm amazed. Most birds just whistle a little ditty, never seen one do the classics. You must feed them well.
