Isn't it frustrating when you get somewhere only to find that you are cut off from electronic civilization...I wish Al Gore would have done a better job ensuring that the Internet is available everywhere. :)
Thanks for the update. I hear you about the lack of internet. It seems as if most of us are more dependent upon internet than we realize--I know I am! Does your Kindle Fire uses cell signal? Our Nooks need wifi to get internet, but luckily we have cell smartphones.
Great post about your travels along 395. 28 comments?? Figured I would type this one here so you don't lose it. Your writing about this road made us go search Google Maps for the state park, seeing that it is just past John Day and we realized we haven't driven this stretch of 395! Thanks, Donna, we are going to this part of Oregon this summer and will have to check out the best road in the world. At least in the running, Highway 395.
Well at least you're not totally cutoff from civilization.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days internet will be everywhere.

ReplyDeleteHave a great time! It's nice to have alternate ways to communicate, isn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteAs much as we love it, sometimes it is nice to be without the Internet. Then we can concentrate on what is around us.
